{GIVEAWAY} On a Budget: Cool Water Gems

Did you ever make art projects with your mom as a kid?  I bet those art projects never turned into a super cool profitable jewelry business.  Well, it did for the mother-daughter team of Angela and Renee over at Cool Water Gems.  My mom and I made Shrinky Dinks and those horrible potholders out of (what I only assume now were) hair ties.  Angela and Renee make gorgeous and affordable jewelry and they were nice enough to send me a bracelet, do an interview AND sponsor a little giveaway here.  So, without further ado, here's Renee and Angela.

Q. What type of jewelry will people find in your shop?
A. You will find a collection of handmade pieces inspired by the world around us for today's fashionable woman.   Necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings are made to complement many styles including: vintage, beachy, natural, sporty, and glam.

Q. What inspired you to start Cool Water Gems?
A. We love designing and creating new pieces of jewelry and wanted to make them available for women who want to make a statement.

Q. Where did you learn to make jewelry?
A. We are self taught jewelry designers - learning by experimenting and watching tutorials; reading and viewing.

Q. Tell me a little bit about you.  What are you doing when you're not making jewelry and managing your shop?
A. Renee - When not making jewelry, you can find me homeschooling my youngest three kids, perusing pinterest, trying out a new recipe, or laundry!
Angela - When I am not making jewelry you can find me at the beach, at Disney World with friends, working on my photography, or eating.

Q. Where do you get all your materials?
A. We find our materials in various places including bead shows, online and the beach.

Q. Any advice to ladies thinking of starting their own business?
A. Go for it!  Just do something you love to do.

Q. Who are your style icons?
A. Lauren Conrad, Carrie Underwood and Sandra Bullock

Q. What are some of your favorite pieces in your shop right now?
A. We love our wrap and stack bracelets; and our vintage-inspired collection.
