This weekend we were wild and crazy.  Friday night we went out to Applebee's and then grocery shopping at Target.  Wooo!  Saturday was supposed to be spent pumpkin picking, but plans fell through.  So, I had to settle for a pumpkin from Target and mums from Home Depot.  Yeah, I went back to Target on Saturday.  I also swung by TJ Maxx, where I met this beauty.

$1,300 of wooden horse magnificence.  (originally $4,000)

And then the Scot and I sat down Saturday to have a serious conversation.  We're finally making the conscience decision to become a grown up.  We're starting to save for our very own house.  I know...I just threw up in my mouth a little bit too.  I hate the taste of grown up words like saving and mortgage.  I had a meeting with my 401k manager, (didn't even know I had one of those) and he told me that I can use half of my 401k as a down payment on a house.  There are other confusing things associated with this, but I blacked out and entered a dream land where I am sitting on my own porch in a rocking chair sipping lemonade while my dishes and clothes are being washed by those fancy machines so many of you home owners have.  And then I snapped back into reality when I realized I needed to save more money on top of that.  So, I guess I will be shopping and eating out less over the next year or so.  And now that I have dried my tears shed over the future loss of so many Anthropologie dresses, I'm going to go over to Pinterest to pick out the chandelier that's going in my walk-in closet.
