I have the honor of being a bridesmaid in yet another wedding. I am terrified of bridesmaid dresses, however. I am not afraid of the dresses my friends choose, because, let's be honest, I am only friends with fabulous ladies. I am afraid, however, of how these dresses fit on my body. It's taken me the better part of my adult life to learn how to dress this pear, hour glass (add a few more adjectives in there) body, so I don't expect every dress to look great on me, nor do I expect people to be able to predict what will look good on all of this. When discussing, my latest endeavor into bridesmaid fashion with my bestie Elena (who is the maid of honor in this shindig), I said I wanted to wear this red dress...because it makes me feel tall and lean. (I think it's the length, which is shorter than I usually wear. See? Still learning.) Elena's response? "Just wear it UNDER whatever bridesmaid dress we have to wear." I'm not sure that will work, but it would probably be more comfortable than Spanx.
