Shirt: c/o Elegantees | Skirt: Banana Republic (similar) | Shoes: J. Crew via Plato's Closet (worn, similar) |
It's not everyday that a company comes along that just touches your heart. Elegantees is such a company. Their soft tees are hand made by women rescued from sex trafficking. Katie, the founder of Elegantees, decided to put her fashion know-how to work for good after learning about the harsh realities of human trafficking. Elegantees has been teaming up with two non-profits, the Nepali Rescue Project and Restore NYC, to offer survivors with job training, a safe community and emotional care. And I also like a shopping trip that leaves me with a warm fuzzy feeling.
And, since this is Look What I Got....I should mention my skirt was a mere $20 at Banana Republic. re
