Rosegal Vintage-Style Dress

Rosegal Dress and bow belt 4 Rosegal Dress and bow belt 3 Rosegal Dress and bow belt 2 Rosegal Dress and bow belt 1

Brunch requires three things: pastries, mimosas, and pretty dresses.  I wanted to do an alliteration thing there.  But, I couldn't think of a breakfast food that starts with "m" or an "m" adjective to describe dresses.  My writing skills are fairly disappointing, but my vintage-style dress from Rosegal is not.  This flowy little number provided for an elegant brunch, despite the intense heat and humidity in New Jersey this weekend.  Even whilst stepping into the soup curtain that was the outdoors this weekend, this dress managed to stay light and flowy.

Rosegal has a huge selection of gorgeous (and affordable) vintage-style dresses!  Follow them on Facebook and Instagram to check out all the options!

Rosegal Off the Shoulder Top

I (like the rest of the blogger world) am totally into off the shoulder tops this summer.  However, I am not into the slipping and sliding that they all tend to do.  Having to constantly adjust your shirt kind of takes away from the elegance and ease of such a garment.  Rosegal's off the shoulder top fixes that problem.  It stays in place, even despite some summer sweats.  The top and sleeves are semi-separate and only connected with a small piece of fabric.  Therefore, the bust of the top isn't always moving with your arms.  And the fabric is light weight and swingy, making it the perfect centerpiece to a casual summer outfit.

Rosegal has a ton more summer options too!  Follow them on Facebook and Instagram to check out all the options!

Michael Kors Bag Giveaway from Dresses and Denim!

Dresses And Denim Blog Pink Maxi
Carly of Dresses & Denim describes her blog as an "online scrap book of [her] life."  Her blog has everything: outfit photos, travel diaries, beauty tutorials, and adorable pics of her son.
She started her blog to work on her personal style and basically reinventing her entire look. Her blog documents her style evolution (as well as her husband's photography progression!).
Dresses And Denim Blog fall outfit
Carly is a girl after my own heart.  She loves a bold lipstick and affordable fashion.  I am personally now dying to try her current lipstick obsession: Red-y To Wear by Clinique.  Carly's biggest piece of style advice?
Shoes and clothing are NOT an investment.  Buy what you like and treat yourself to
special pieces occasionally, but don’t be fooled into paying way too much for wardrobe
items under the false notion that it’s an investment.
Carly is giving away a beautiful Michael Kors color block bag that is worth $225!  You can enter to win it below.  All entries will be automatically given one entry in to each monthly bag giveaway on
DressesAndDenim.com and added to the Dresses & Denim weekly mailing list.

Favorite Fashion Friday #80 AND A GALENTINE's DAY GIVEAWAY!

 photo FavoriteFashionFridaylogo_zpsf66ade9e.jpg

Today, instead of my favorite outfit of the week, I am sharing one of my new favorite jewelry lines and a giveaway!  Kaytee and Bri are bestest gal pals that started a business together selling chloe + isabel jewelry.  So, what better way to celebrate Galentine's Day than introducing you to them (and a giveaway!).

chloe & isabel giveaway

Color Code Plum Teardrop Necklace // Jardin Majorelle Chandelier Earrings // Sculpted Feather Hinged Cuff

chloe + isabel by kaytee & bri is a unique, hand designed jewelry e-boutique. Their lines carry pieces for everyone from classic beauties (isabel) to fashionistas (chloe) to somewhere in between (chloebels). The company was founded on the best friend philosophy, which made perfect sense for Kaytee and Bri to partner together in this venture.  They are best friends to the utmost.  Kaytee is Bri's maid of honor for her upcoming wedding, they are each other's dogs' honorary aunts and they even grocery shop together.  (awww!).  You get the picture.

This pair met when they were slinging jeans working retail at the local Buckle.  (A friendship forged with fashion).    They both have a deep love for all things vintage and art deco - hence their love of our chloe + isabel lines.

According to Bri, when you think to C&I, think of your best friend(s): opposites attract and you have a wonderful relationship with someone who truly balances you out. A beautiful friendship is made a little better when you can share closets! Kaytee and Bri love to help women feel empowered and beautiful by expressing themselves through fashion (including jewelry!)

And now this dynamic duo is giving away a $40 gift card to purchase some goodies in their shop!

Look What I Got: GemSugar Giveaway

I am super duper excited to introduce you to Gemsugar today!  I'll let the site's creator Angel give you the deets.  (Also, if you have time, search my blog for the word "super," apparently I use is A LOT).
gemsugar 2

Hi everyone! I'm Angel and I'm the "brains behind the sparkle" of Gemsugar.com. Until recently, I worked in retail during college and would frequently have customers ask where I got whatever jewelry I happened to be wearing. This gave me the idea to start my own site selling jewelry at prices I would be willing and able to pay as a college student working part-time. With the positive reception of my site, I've recently expanded to include a monthly subscription service called GemBox. It is $24.99/month and includes 2-3 jewelry pieces based on style questions answered at sign-up. Want to talk jewelry or need help picking out a piece? You can catch up with me on our social networking sites or at angel@gemsugar.com.

Look What I Got: $25 Altar'd State Giveaway!

Today, Look What I Got has a special co-host!  Kristi of The Dandelion Girl!  She's beautiful and sports some awesome vintage fashions...and she's offering an awesome giveaway to Penniless Socialite readers today!
dandelion girl 2

Hello! I'm K and I blog over at The Dandelion Girl... a blog that ebbs and flows just like life does. It showcases some of my loves and some of my ramblings. I work at Anthropologie (part-time, my real job is as a manager at another retail store), so I often show off our displays and how it has influenced my home decor. Though I used to model, I am no longer that weight and sometimes my looks are horribly hilarious. I like to keep it real, so whatever pops out from the self-timer sessions is what you see.

dandelion girl 1

I love Moscato (the wine and my dog), pumpkin, mixing masculine and feminine, historic homes, Dr. Seuss, F. Scott Fitzgerald quotes, and Economics. One of my biggest dislikes is having to pick a side at a wedding and when my random tastes confuse Spotify to the point it just quits working on Radio mode. Whoopsies!

Working as much as I do, life can be chaotic. But that's the way I like it. Bouncing from place to place, keeping a dream and hope in my heart, and light in my eyes.

Anyway, hope you'll stop on by or at least participate in the giveaway... a gift card to another of my loves - Altar'd State.

Life is slippery, let's hold hands!

altard state giveaway
So you want to know how to win this gift card?

The only required entry is to follow me on Bloglovin' and post on my blog stating that you did. I'm not a big Facebook fan (I know... I know...) and don't go on Twitter (except to play "What is Dance Mom Holly Wearing" every Tuesday night - the lady wears SO much Anthropologie and I love to spot the pieces - she thinks it's humorous as well, actually... so the former is not possible and the latter wouldn't be interesting to very many people. You can follow me on Pinterest for another entry option - you don't have to follow every board. I think Pinterest feeds should be a curation of what you like and are inspired by, so no matter if you follow one or them all, you will get an entry. The last entry possibility is to follow me on Threadflip. You'll get a $5 site credit if you do as well (if you use my link)
