Gamiss Cat Purse (& link up!)

Sometimes you just have to let your crazy cat lady flag fly.  I don't like to lie to people.  And you can lie by omission.  I figured that carrying this cat purse from Gamiss, I was putting everyone on sufficient notice that I am a crazy cat lady.
I love this little purse and all it's little details.  It's a great cross body, but also has the shorter strap for what I like to call a more adorable carrying position.  And...even the closure is shaped like a cat!

Rosegal Vintage-Style Dress

Brunch requires three things: pastries, mimosas, and pretty dresses.  I wanted to do an alliteration thing there.  But, I couldn't think of a breakfast food that starts with "m" or an "m" adjective to describe dresses.  My writing skills are fairly disappointing, but my vintage-style dress from Rosegal is not.  This flowy little number provided for an elegant brunch, despite the intense heat and humidity in New Jersey this weekend.  Even whilst stepping into the soup curtain that was the outdoors this weekend, this dress managed to stay light and flowy.

Three months of constant sweating (better known as summer) has commenced.  I am not a huge fan of summer (gasp!).  That statement is a mortal sin here in New Jersey.  I hate sweating, humidity, crowds, traffic, and sun burns.  But, I do love summer style.  One of my favorite current summer trends is the off-the-shoulder look.  This dress from Devil Plus is sure to be a staple this summer.  It's super light and flowy...and the sleeves actually stay in place!

My Little Pony Dress

I guess I could have named this post a little ore creatively.  But, when you're wearing a dress teeming with childhood nostalgia, I don't think a creative title is needed.

I wore this dress for a late summer stroll along the boardwalk.  I received so many compliments from strangers...of all ages!  My Little Pony unites us all.
I remember watching My Little Pony over breakfast before leaving for kindergarten.  My fav pony was Glory...she's pretty much the OG.  I like to keep it old school with my pony references.

Kate Spade Stripes

This dress never fails me as a late summer to early fall transition piece.  The colors are not overly season-specific.  They're not the neons of summer or the neutral and wine hues of fall.  It's not a short flowy sundress, but it is sleeveless.  I am not fully ready to dive head first into fall.  I love pumpkin-flavored everything, but I won't eat or drink any of it while it's still 90 degrees out.  I have rules.  I am not an animal.

One Last Shot of Summer

  

I crammed all of summer into this picture.  Lilly, lighthouses, bright colors, and boats. Although this post is called "One Last Shot of Summer," I will be savoring the season for almost another month.  It'll stay oppressively hot here in New Jersey for a little while longer.  I will just try and fill the blog with some transition-y outfits instead of summer-in-your-face outfits.

Lilly Pulitzer Ebay Find!

I had been searching for something in this Lilly print for quite some time.  I finally found this maxi dress on eBay for a steal at $40.  The print is called clam jam.  Yes, clam jam.  I don't know if I was drawn to the print because it's adorable or because the name is so hilarious.  I also felt a little weird about naming my post "Clam Jam Maxi."  But, now that I have typed the phrase "clam jam" multiple times in this post, I don't think the title would have been that big of a deal.
