Stuff I Wore: An Irish Princess Walks Across the Golden Gate Bridge

Dress // Anthropologie  (similar here in floral)
Tights // Hue
Boots // Macy's (worn here, similar here)
Necklace // Rocks Box (worn here, similar here)
Purse // Juicy Couture via Marshall's

So, for Thanksgiving this year I walked across the Golden Gate Bridge with my sister.  Then we went to a bar and drank a stack of beers and some old man said I looked like an Irish princess and bought us shots.  It was a great day and I think we started a new Thanksgiving tradition of doing Jaeger shots in a crappy bar.

Look What I Got (Link Up): Black Friday Edition

Black Friday wasn't as epic for me as it normally is because I was in San Francisco and had to make sure everything could make it home with me on the plane.  So, I kept it simple and only grabbed things I really wanted.  I, of course, took advantage of Anthropologie's additional 25% off sale items (disappointed it wasn't 50% off like last year.)  I spent about $70 on the coat, shirt and earrings.  I also checked out Victoria's Secret's buy one get one 50% off bra sale...but I won't show you those because I try and keep this blog PG.  And with my undergarments I got a bag of free goodies from VS.  It's a good thing I bought that shirt....because I got a little overzealous with the light packing and didn't pack enough clothes.  So, that tee came to Twin Peaks (the highest point in San Francisco) on Saturday.

Grey Equilibrium Peplum Tee // Anthropologie
Boots // Macy's (worn here, similar here)
Watch // Target (worn here, similar here)
Bracelets // Bauble Bar and F21 (worn here, similar here)

Before we climbed up Twin Peaks, we fueled up at breakfast.  The waitress asked me if I wanted avocado on my egg sandwich...dumb question.  I want avocado on everything.

And then we went to fabulous Castro Street for some mimosas.  We were still fueling up for the hike up Twin Peaks.  Castro Street is a magical place.  Everyone just walking around happily with their dogs, tying them up outside as they pop into a cafe for a quick brunch.  Or tying up their parrots outside.
We finally made it up to the highest point in San Francisco.  I would like to note that I was not informed that there would be hiking.  I would not have worn knee high boots for such an occasion.  Hiking calls for a ballet flat...haha.  In case you are wondering, that girl that looks just like me except for the fact that she's my opposite in every way imaginable is my sister.
Of course we ended the day with some beers....at the Rogue Public House (aka my happy place).  I drank a delicious oatmeal stout, ate some cheese topped bread and fries...and for desert we tried chocolate, peanut butter, banana beer.

And now it's time for the link up!!

Loving Lately: Lisa Frank

Lisa Frank will always be a part of my life.  Her works of art came with to to school every day for years on Trapper Keepers, folders and pencils.  Yes, works of art.  A neon pink dolphin and a bear with sunglasses are on par with the Mona Lisa in my book.  Lisa Frank is still in my life.  I love cats and truly believe that neon and leopard go together.  Urban Outfitters has started selling a limited edition Lisa Frank line.  I guess you can say that Lisa Frank is back.  I don't think she ever left.

There's a few goodies from Urban Outfitters and the Lisa Frank website.  If they had those tees when I was a youngster, I would've had one in every color and worn some matching slouch socks.  And I want that cookie jar...Christmas present?  And now for some outfits inspired by Lisa's impeccable style.

Loving Lately: Rocks Box

I showed you my jewels yesterday from Rocks Box...but what the heck is Rocks Box?
It's no secret that I love free stuff.  I will pretty much try any product if offered to me for free.  I am a bit shameless like that.  However, freebies only rarely turn into love: a love that actually prompts me to spend money.  Rocks Box has inspired that kind of love in me.  Shanna over at Because Shanna Said So was doing a giveaway for a free one year subscription to Rocks Box and offering a coupon code to all entrants to get one free month from Rocks Box.  So, I went and checked it out.

It's sort of like a jewelry rental subscription service.  You fill out a style survey and Rocks Box sends you three pieces of jewelry.  You get to try out the jewelry for 60 days, wear it, bring it to fancy dinner parties, show it off to your friends.  If you love the jewelry, you can purchase it at a discount OR send it back (in the free prepaid envelope included with your Rocks Box) and then you get three more pieces of jewelry.  AND YOU CAN RETURN YOUR JEWELS AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WANT EACH MONTH!!  Yes, that statement needed an all caps.  The subscription is $19.99 per month.  This sounded like a lot of money to me...until the jewelry arrived.  The jewelry that came in my Rocks Box is designer.  None of that turn my finger green, make my ears red or break after one wear crap from Forever 21.  (Sorry Forever 21, I have to quit your jewelry...it's wreaking havoc on my body.)

Gem Drop Earrings // Lucas Jack (Retail: $52.00 // Member Price: $41.60)
Line Gem Layering Necklace // Serefina (Retail: $75.00 // Member Price: $60.00)
Abundance Labradorite Bracelet // Tzen (Retail: $170.00 // Member Price: $136.00)
I'm also participating in a little giveaway over at Because Shanna Said So...you should enter.

Have a Drink, Cram Some Food in Your Face and Meet my November Swappers

Thanksgiving can be a lonely day for a vegetarian.  Tofurkey is just an inedible substance and my family puts sausage into the stuffing.  So, I drink all day and then fill up on pumpkin pie.  Even though I am normally a beer girl, I let lose on Thanksgiving and enjoy some cocktails....especially when it's chocolate.  So, I've got my November button swappers here to tell you what they love on Thanksgiving.

Blog // Twitter // Pinterest
Heather documents her adventures living in China with her adorable hubby...and provides some pretty sweet recipes like this Gooey Butter Pumpkin Cake.  If you're looking for delicious food recipes, I am not your lady.  I'll take my tips from Heather.  She's a girl that goes straight for the STUFFING on Thanksgiving.

Jackie's blog also gives you something that I usually don't...some plain old delightful romantic mush, like her post on Veteran's Day about her hubs and other veterans in her life.  But don't worry, this girl can also bring on the sass!  And she gives another vote for STUFFING.
Blog // Twitter // Facebook // Pinterest

Ashley provides DIY projects with sprinkles of how to live green and some adorable pictures of her kiddos.  See adorableness here.  Ashley is a girl after my own heart and loves SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE.  I hope she puts marshmallows on top like my mom does...perfection.
Blog // Twitter // Facebook
And if you still don't have your fill of adorable kids, go visit Cherlyn. Evidence of adorabl-ness can be found here. And she makes her toddlers some delicious quesadillas. I wonder if she'll adopt me. Cherlyn is a woman who wants it all and loves ALL THE FIXINS.  (cause you can't have the turkey without it: Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes & gravy, cranberry sauce oh and don't forget the pumpkin pie!)

December is the last month that I am going to be doing free sponsor ad swaps! So, get them while they are free! You can sign up on my sponsor page via Passionfruit and use code SWAPIT. Starting in 2013 I will be charging for my 200 x 200 and 200 x 100 ads. (If all my December spots fill up and you sign up before the end of the year, I'll still do a free ad swap for ya!)
I'll keep doing free 100 x 100 ad swaps.
