May Ipsy Review

May 15 Ipsy 1 May 15 Ipsy 2
Urban Decay Glide on Lip Pencil (0.8 g ~ $13): How can you not love an Urban Decay lip liner?  It goes on super smooth and prevents lipstick feathering.  I also love that it's colorless, so that I don't have have more than one!

Bella Pierre Mineral Gel Eyeliner (full size, $15):  This liner went on smooth, was super pigmented, and stayed on.  However, I felt like you needed to be an expert to put it on.  There was absolutely not "play time" with the liner.  If you screw up....you have use makeup remover on the whole eye and start over.

Nux Face Cleansing and Makeup Removing Gel (15 mL ~ $12): I wear black eyeliner and black mascara everyday.  Therefore, I often wake up with some of it still on my face.  With this removing gel, that didn't happen!

Bare Republic Naturals Mineral Face Sunscreen (0.5 oz ~$4):  I am in desperate need of a good facial sunscreen.  This fit the bill. Not greasy, waterproof....and kind of smelled like a summery coconut drink.

Luxie Beauty Blending Brush ($12):  I can always use another makeup brush!

Not a bad haul at $56.  And I LOVE the lip liner, sunscreen, and makeup removing gel. I won't have too many eDivv trades to make this month!

The Dress Hunt

IMG_1310 IMG_1329 IMG_1314 IMG_1315 IMG_1322 IMG_1345

I first met this dress over a year ago when I popped into a Lilly store on a whim.  However, I didn't want a whim to lead to a $200 purchase.  I was able to resist.  But, then I couldn't get the dress out of my head.  I dreamed about it...like a tampon commercial style dream with me running through a field of buttercups in this dress, or out and about getting coffee.  So, as usual, I turned to Poshmark and Instagran to save me some money.  Instagram won the battle.

Look What I Got: In my Rocks Box Lately

Rocks Box Rocks Box april 15 April 15 Collage
Loren Hope Small Sarra Cuff in Crystal: $68 (purchaseworn).   My name is Tara and I have a problem.  I am a Loren Hope addict.  I already had this cuff in purple, but I needed it in crystal.  Yup, those are the words of an addict.  And yup, I purchased this.

Margaret Elizabeth Pyramid Studs in Pink Opal: $88 (purchase).  I wasn't a huge fan of these earrings.  I get that the stones are natural, but there was too much difference in the color between the two earrings.  One earring was almost brown.

Perry Street Kayla Necklace: $72. I sadly did not wear this necklace.  I had a similar colored necklace in my March box, so I didn't have enough time to get together another set of turquoise neckalce appropriate outfits...haha.

Wedding Wear with Kate Spade and Poshmark

IMG_1639 IMG_1640 IMG_1647 IMG_1649 IMG_1650

Guess how much this entire outfit cost.  Go ahead...take a guess.  I'll wait while you tabulate the numbers.
$155...yes...$155.  And everything I am wearing in these photos are designer. Poshmark, the Bloomingdale's clearance rack, and TJ Maxx offer great designer items at cheap prices, as long as you are willing to work for it.  I found this clutch on clearance for $50 at the bottom of a shelf full of socks and stocking.  I found these Kate Spade earrings for $25 on the Bloomingdale's clearance rack.  However, one earring was on the clearance jewelry table...and the other one was buried halfway across the store under some iPhone cases.  (I got lucky on that one).  I got this dress on Poshmark for just $50 after watching the price fall for a few weeks (and praying no one else snatched it up).

What to Wear to a Beach Wedding with Rent the Runway

One of the favorite places for New Jersey-ans to have a wedding is down the shore.  However, a beach or dockside wedding is quite difficult for a guest.  You have to be dressed up enough to dance the night away at the fancy dinner portion, but also be prepared for searing heat and itchy sand (or the annoying spaces between the planks of a boardwalk) during the ceremony.  As always, I turn to Rent The Runway,  If you don't already know, Rent the Runway offers high end clothing and accessories for rent at a fraction of the retail price!

And Rent the Runway has you covered for such an event with their Nantucket Summer Weddings collection.  Since no one I know is wealthy enough to get married on Nantucket, I'm using the collection to shop for a regular old beach wedding.

Below are a few of my favorite options for a summer beach wedding.  (Warning....I went a little crazy with the nautical them. I love stripes!!!)

RTR Nantucket Wedding 3

RTR Nantucket Wedding 2

If any of theses styles have tempted you, I have a special discount code for ya!  Get $25 off your first rental of $75+ with new code FIRSTRTR25X75X.

This week's favorite outfit is from Grace in Style.  I love pairing a casual graphic tee with a fancy skirt.  However, my fav part of this outfit is the print on the skirt.  At first glace it looks like your everyday floral print.  But, upon closer inspection....it's a tree print!  Love it!

Look What I Got: Agape Love Giveaway

Paparazzi Giveaway
"I have too much jewelry."  Said by no woman ever. Jewelry is one of those things that can always make you feel beautiful.  It's easy to throw on when you're having a rough morning and it always fits...even on a bloat-y day.  And now you can add to your growing jewelry hoard with Paparazzi Jewelry from Agape Love Boutique.  Everything from Paparazzi is just $5! Which blows my mind. Its all gorgeous, and great quality for the price. And even though you can buy earrings separately, what's awesome is all the necklaces come with matching earrings as well!  You can find more information on the brand here.

And I am having an online jewelry party!  You don't even have to come to my house, eat snacks and make small talk with my mom's friends to attend this jewelry party!  You can shop it from the comfort of your own home here!  But, don't hesitate to snatch up any of these pieces.  Paparazzi is always adding new inventory and once something sells out, it won't be restocked.  So, don't wait!  The piece you love today might not be available tomorrow!
