Look What I Got: Multitasking Accessory

I'm writing this post waaay past my bed time. So, tomorrow is going to be: Look What I Got: Puffy Raccoon Eyes.  But, my lack of sleep is not the subject of this post.  I bought a nifty little multi-tasking accessory recently: Ruche's Violet Garland Necklace.  It's a necklace, it's a belt, it's a head band, it's ALL THREE!  And I got it for $15.75 (On sale for $18.50, down from $28.99, PLUS an extra 15% off with an email coupon).  $15 isn't bad for three accessories.

Noon and Night Dress // Anthropologie (worn here, similar here)
Cardigan // Gap (worn here, similar here)
Leopard Flats // Jessica Simpson (worn here, similar here)
Tights // Joe Fresh (worn here, similar here)
I was a bit too scared to try it as a headband.  It seemed a bit too forest fairy princess for a work day.

And now it's time for the link up!!!

Stuff I Wore: Cat Bonnets and a Winner

Noon and Night Dress // Anthropologie (worn here, similar here); Jackie Cardigan // J. Crew ; Shoes // Target (similar here); Necklace // Betsey Johnson (worn here; similar here)

It's not a secret that I am crazy cat lady.  And it should come as no surprise that my bestie Elena is one too.  We travel in packs.  This is just an example of one of our typical conversations...about cats.

Elena and I have decided that if things don't work out in relationships for us, we'll just devote our lives to each other and then register at Petsmart.  We'll get a nice cat stroller and take all 4 of our cats for walks around the neighborhood.  And as we discussed, they'll need bonnets.  So then this photo montage happened.

Aren't you glad you got a glimpse into my crazy brain?  I bet Elena is glad I gave you a glimpse into hers.

Stuff I Wore: And now with more crazy cat lady

Yep, I'm still working on my backlog of OOTD's.  And as you can see, my beloved Kate Spade iPhone case is no more.  I dropped my phone at the Giants game on Christmas Eve.  (Yes, I enjoy watching organized sports.  Actually, it's probably just the tailgating and drinking beer outside that appeals to me.  Wait, there's a game?  But I haven't finished my beer and snacks yet!)
The iPhone made it out without a scratch, but the case took a beating.  I guess it served its purpose of protecting the phone, right?  So, now I have resorted back to my Lilly Pulitzer case, which I traded out because after a day of using it, your hand is covered in little flecks of blue and orange.  Lilly, you do so many things right, just not iPhone cases.
Well, here's a coat my mom got me for Christmas.  I feel like it really matches the sack of cat food she also got me.  When I opened it Christmas morning, my sister just looks at me and says, "You've turned into Grandma."  I take it as a compliment.  My grandma was a stylish lady.  We're talking hats and raccoon fur coat stylish.  Ok, I don't agree with the whole fur thing, but you get the idea of her style.

That wasn't enough crazy for you?  Add a hat!

Stuff I GOT: A Very Merry Christmas

I am a pretty darn lucky lady.  My family and friends got me everything I wanted for Christmas...more stuff than I could have ever imagined.  I have a fistful of gift cards to spend, including enough Dunkin' Donuts cards to feed my caffeine addiction until next Christmas.  My mom, of course, got me tons of little things I didn't even know I wanted.  I don't need to buy toiletries, nail files or decorative travel packs of tissues for quite awhile.  And, I am not even kidding, she got me a gift bag full of cat food.  Yep, that is what my mom thinks of me.  But, because feeding those little mongrels is so expensive, I was secretly excited.  She just bought the dog a new blanket.  I was secretly hoping for a giant 40 lb bag of dog food.  Here are the highlights of my Christmas morning:

I needed a new toaster oven, because mine became a lovely little sparking fire trap.  There are some photos of my fashion gifts and more post-Christmas shopping on their way!
