Stuff I Wore: Cat Bonnets and a Winner

Noon and Night Dress // Anthropologie (worn here, similar here); Jackie Cardigan // J. Crew ; Shoes // Target (similar here); Necklace // Betsey Johnson (worn here; similar here)

It's not a secret that I am crazy cat lady.  And it should come as no surprise that my bestie Elena is one too.  We travel in packs.  This is just an example of one of our typical conversations...about cats.

Elena and I have decided that if things don't work out in relationships for us, we'll just devote our lives to each other and then register at Petsmart.  We'll get a nice cat stroller and take all 4 of our cats for walks around the neighborhood.  And as we discussed, they'll need bonnets.  So then this photo montage happened.
Via, Via
Aren't you glad you got a glimpse into my crazy brain?  I bet Elena is glad I gave you a glimpse into hers.
And now for the winner of the Bubble Necklace Giveaway...

Stuff I Wore: Blogger FAIL and Garden Woes

So, I attempted to publish my Weekend Sale Round Up and Beauty Deals posts from my iPhone while I was out and about on a busy weekend.  And well, as you can see....Blogger FAIL.  Has any one used the Blogger app for iPhone?  How have you liked it?
So, I will be back later today with the weekly Beauty Deals.
Noon and Night Dress // Anthropologie (worn here)
Jackie Cardigan // J. Crew (worn here)
Leopard Flats // Jessica Simpson (worn here and here, similar here)
Necklace // The Limited (similar here)

I didn't intend on talking about my inability to operate technology today.  Today I wanted to point out that I planted my little garden this weekend.  See that sad patch of dirt behind me? It now contains three different kinds of tomatoes, four different kinds of peppers, pole beans and some miscellaneous herbs, dahlias and zinnias.  And what you see in this picture is the largest bush of lemon balm ever that somehow survived the winter.  Seriously, if any one needs lemon balm, I am your girl.
However, Saturday night something dug up half the dahlia bulbs, took a bite of them and left them on the grass for me to mourn over.  Whatever little jerk did that also ate all the leaves off two pepper plants.  I hope that little brat got horrible indigestion.

Stuff I Wore: A Warm Winter's Day (OOTD 1.7.12)

As I look at the snow piling up outside my window, I yearn for the sunny 50 degree day 2 weeks ago.  ("Piling" might be an exaggeration.  We have about 2-3 inches on the ground now).
I wore my beloved Noon and Night Dress to the annual holiday party with my group of college friends.  Yes, we are still celebrating the holidays well into January.  We're all incredibly awesome and busy ladies, so life gets in the way of partying some times.  Our parties mostly consist of us eating and drinking too much. You should see the spread that we have at our parties.  It's pretty impressive.  In our group, some of us are good cooks and some of us are just good food shoppers.  I am the latter.

The Noon and Night Dress is definitely one of my favorite purchases.  And it seems to be a crowd pleaser as well.  When I was getting ready for the party, I texted my bestie Elena to ask her what I should wear.  her response?  Noon and Night!  At the party, my friend Tiff kept touching the skirt of the dress and saying, "it feels like a tapestry."  Yeah, that's a compliment.  We're weird like that.

Stuff I Bought: Patience is a Virtue

My grandmother always said, "Patience is a virtue.  Possess it if you can.  Found seldom in a woman, but never in a man."  My patience finally paid off and the Noon and Night Dress is mine! All I Want for Christmas...is All this Stuff

As I sit here watching A Charlie Brown Christmas and screening repeated calls from my mother who will undoubtedly ask, "What do you want for Christmas?"  Deep down I just want to say, "Cash," but this is not an acceptable answer for my mother.  So, here's my Christmas wishlist.  I think I kept it pretty realistic this year...maybe?
All I Want for Christmas...
All I Want for Christmas... by veggielawyer

1. Canon Powershot S95. Since starting this blog, I've realized that my camera is in need of a serious upgrade.  I'm not ready for a big girl DSLR, which became evident when my friend Elena tried to explain cameras to me and my head exploded.  This might actually be a Christmas present to myself after the holidays.  I treat myself real nice.

2. Merona Double Breasted Coat.  I love this coat because of it's ridiculousness.  Faux fur collar AND bright yellow?  This coat embodies the kind of old lady crazy that I am trying to achieve every day.

3. Dulcie Dress.  I know, I know.  I've posted about this dress before.  BUT, now I have a place to wear it.   I have a wedding to go to in February!  Sadly, the black one is sold out in my size online.  Can I wear the neutral one to a wedding?  Is it too close to white?

4. Liquid Silk Skirt.  And yes, I've been talking about this skirt for awhile. (here and here)  It's just sooo awesome!!!  And now it's on sale for $99 (in blue) and $69 (in pink).  I'm trying to save Santa a little money.

5. Tiered Stripes Dress.  Do I really need to explain this one?  I am looking for a dress that says, "I'm put together and stylish," when on the inside I am thinking, "Did I remember to put on a bra this morning?"

6. Noon and Night Dress.  I have been lusting after this dress for months and Anthropologie refuses to let it fit into my budget.

7. J. Crew's Crystal Brulee Bracelet.  I'm a sucker for sparkles and this bracelet is so distracting.  I'm pretty sure that if I ever wear this to work I'll just stare blankly at it all day.

8. Toaster Oven.  Ok, this is boring, but I really need a new toaster oven.  My current toaster oven sparks every time you turn it on.  So, for Christmas I'm not just asking for a toaster oven; I'm asking for my apartment not to burn down just because I want a pizza pocket.

What is everyone else asking for for Christmas?  Show me your lists!
