What do 2 cups of Starbucks coffee, a month of Netflix, a box of Franzia and this dress have in common?  They all cost $10!  I couldn't believe it either when I saw it online.  Sometimes a chapstick is an impulse buy at the register...sometimes it's a $10 Anthropologie dress at my desk at work.

And what do these shoes have in common with my high school lunches and cell phone until I turned 18?  They were all free because my mom paid for them.

On a Budget: Anthropologie Spring 2013

Dressfashion Prom Dresses London

It's been awhile since I've done an On a Budget post where I've shown you guys cheap(er) Anthropologie look-a-likes.  In this edition, I tackle some of Anthropologie's new arrivals.

How can you pass up some good old fashion chevron?!

It actually wasn't too hard to find a floral mullet dress.  Florals and high-low dresses are everywhere this season!

Everyone needs a semi-fancy floral dress.  Great for day time weddings! (UPDATE: Totally did not realize that this dress was butterfly print and not floral until this post went up.)

I don't know what to call this.  Floral mirror image pattern?  That sounds pretty accurate.

Don't forget to enter to win ad space from my sponsor Wannabe Green!

And don't forget to hop on over to Delusions of Grandeur to link up for Favorite Fashion Friday!  (It's her turn to host this week!)

On a Budget: Anthropologie Spring Dresses

This is the time of year when Anthropologie begins sucking all my hard earned money out of my wallet...the release of all their spring dresses.  However, here are some frugal options to keep a little money in your pocket.

Ok, this next dress is sort of a bargain at Anthropologie for $68.  Is that a typo in the price?  I've never seen an Anthro dress for less than $100.  However, we can still do better.

Anthro (and J. Crew) on a Budget: Lacey Lacey

Lace is every where this season (and last season and next season....it's pretty much there every season).  It's timeless and classic and isn't just for your grandma's doilies any more.  So, here are a few of my lacey pics...on a budget of course.

The Lacepaint Flared Dress from Anthro is so feminine and pretty.  It's floral and lace?!  Oh...and the price equals a monthly car payment.  So, I went perusing on Modcloth and found another floral and lace beauty.

The Gathering Breeze Dress was highly coveted back in 2011 (or maybe 2010?), but there are still some look-a-likes out there.

Scallops and lace?  Yes, please!  I don't want to spend $325, so luckily Lulu's has a cheaper version...and in a the very stylish color, MINT!

And speaking of stylish colors, holy coral!

On a Budget: Fall Fashion

This is a scheduled post as I am currently on vacation in Scotland.  Yay!  I won't be able to respond to your comments until next Friday.  So, if I don't get back to you, it doesn't mean I don't love ya!

So, my Anthro on a Budget posts went over so well, that I've decided to branch out and include other retailers.  There are so many Fall items I want, but my wallet just isn't full of enough cash.

I swooned when I saw the peplum sweater in Tory Burch's Fall line.  However, I cried a little when I saw the price tag.  I found the best three options I could for an affordable peplum sweater.  However, it looks like many affordable retailers have not transferred the peplum trend into their Fall lines.

J. Crew Chicken Sweater Frugal Option

J. Crew's chicken sweater is ADORABLE.  Who doesn't love a chicken in a beret?  However, I don't think I love it as much as my monthly grocery bill.  Although no retailers are offering a sweater with a cartoon chicken in a sassy hat, Target has some other cute animal options.

Ok, I know I said I was branching out to other retailers, but I could not resist showing you this adorable (and affordable) dress from Sheinside.  How cute would that dress be with come black tights and black flats?  Maybe red flats?  Am I getting too crazy here?
J. Crew Pave Link Bracelet Frugal Options

I loved this chunky J. Crew bracelet at first sight.  It's the perfect addition to any arm party.  But, at $125, it's more expensive than all my bracelets combined.  I couldn't find anything bargain priced that is jewel encrusted, but I these pretties have that same chunky link look.

Anthro on a Budget: Volume 2

(including Anthropologie, Gap and Banana Republic items)

So this blog isn't just about fashion, it's about affordable fashion. Yes, I own several Anthropologie dress, however, they don't make up the majority of my closet. I mostly bargain hunt. So, here's another installment of "Anthro on a Budget" I'm thinking of making this a monthly series and perhaps branching outside of Anthro. What do you think?

Trinket Flats Frugal Option

I wanted the Trinket Flats from Anthro SO BADLY.  However, they were leather, and I do not wear leather.  (insert vegetarian soap box here).  Then, along came my best friend (in my imagination) Lauren Conrad.  I would be mad that LC has apparently been secretly stalking my thoughts and ideas if I did not love her so much.

Anthro on a Budget

It's no secret that I am a sucker for Anthropolgie dresses.  (see here, here and here)  However, my wallet can not handle my intense love.  So, how do you get an Anthro look on a budget?  Two words: Ruche and Modcloth.  I am waaay late to this party, but I just recently discovered how awesome these online retailers are.
You want to hear about another online retailer with awesomely cheap clothes?  It's ME!  I just opened up a little online store (here) to sell some of my lightly worn clothes that are just not getting into my rotation lately.  I hope they can go from the back of my closet to the front of yours.  I'm new to this whole thing, so I apologize if there are hiccups.  However, it looks like Store Envy idiot-proofs these things.

Anyways, here are a few dresses that reminded me of some Anthro dresses.
