Sometimes you just have to let your little black dress see the light of day.  They shouldn't always be banished to the dark.  Yes, a black dress can be a bit warm.  However, when you find one as light and airy as this Bailey 44 dress, the color becomes less of a problem.

Discovering Clover Canyon (& LWIG link up!)

Clover Canyon is my new favorite fashion discovery.  The brand is known for its bold, vivid prints and sleek silhouettes.  I love the unique patterns on all the dresses, but I am really in love with the neoprene dresses.  The thick (and forgiving) fabric hugs all your curves (and hides any bumps and lumps).  Sadly, this is a fairly pricey discovery.  I did find this dress for a steal on eBay though!

A Dress for All Seasons

Florals are always in season.  I love this dress  because it can go from winter, to fall, to spring, to summer. The colors are bright enough for spring and summer, but not so bright that they can't be muted with accessories for the fall and winter.  Here I dressed it for a mild summer day with booties.  But, I can easily throw on flip flops for a more humid day.  Or pair it with tights and knee-high boots for the winter.

Back in Black (and Floral)

I took a bit of an unintended blog break recently.  Life outside the blog was just not allowing for ample sitting on my butt staring at a computer screen time nor was the Scot's job giving me access to my photographer on the weekends.  But, now I am back with a ton of new post and outfit ideas.  So, I think the break may have reinvigorated my love of blogging!

Urban Gem Jeannette Fringe Necklace: $78.  I've been pretty into fringe lately.  When I saw this necklace was coming to me in the mail, I was a little confusing.  I couldn't tell from the picture what kind of fringe was on this necklace.  String? Suede?  I had not even considered metal fringe!  

Wanderlust + Co. Double Box Split Gold Ring: $35 (purchase).  This was such a great simple ring.  And because it's adjustable, it can be worn as a regular ring or a midi ring.

Perry Street Camilla Studs: $40.  I wasn't really into these studs.  I feel like I have several pairs already that are very similar.  However, every girl should have a pair of sparkly studs, and these would definitely fit the bill.
