Sometimes you just have to let your little black dress see the light of day. They shouldn't always be banished to the dark. Yes, a black dress can be a bit warm. However, when you find one as light and airy as this Bailey 44 dress, the color becomes less of a problem.

Look What I Got: In my Rocks Box Lately

Loren Hope Abba Earrings in Lilac: $68 (purchase in blue). I already own these earrings in pink, So, luckily when I was deciding whether to send them back, I was watching an episode of Hoarders. But, for your benefit I will say, they are lighter than they look and they are fabulous statement earrings. They're not to big, but they pack a pretty big sparkle punch.

Gorjana Ryder Charm Necklace: $60 (options). I love love love the delicate little necklaces from Gorjana. I already own a delicate little gold necklace....and again, the fear instilled in me by Hoarders prevailed. But seriously, you should own a delicate necklace to wear when your outfit already has a lot going on.

Perry Street Sophia Bracelet: $69. I actually had no desire to keep this bracelet. It was a bit too much for my everyday-wear. It would be great to wear to a wedding or a fancy dinner, but I just didn't h ave a use for it.

In my Rocks Box Lately

Perry Street Gwen Crystal Earrings: $50 (worn). I wasn't a huge fan of these earrings. They felt a bit cheap compared to the quality of the other Rocks Box items I am used to.

Kendra Scott Jana Bracelet: $80 (purchase, worn). Kendra Scott is a blogger fav. And I didn't miss an opportunity to score this staple at 20% off. It did not go back in the box. It's the perfect stacking piece, but ornate enough to wear on it's own.

Gorjana Zion Necklace: $58. Gorjana is another one of my fav jewelry designers. The pieces are always simple and sophisticated. This necklace was no exception. It was the perfect piece to add a little something to an outfit.

Loren Hope Emerson Earrings: $126 (worn). I am a sucker for Loren Hope. And these earrings were no exception. They were surprisingly light and glammed up any outfit. I wore these with a tee and with a dressier outfit.

House of Harlow Aztec Angles Cuff: $78 (purchase, worn). I loved the shape of this bracelet and how it stacked well with other bracelets. However, it actually hurt to take on and off. The opening was so narrow I scratched my wrist every time I took it on or off. Fashion shouldn't be painful.

Perry Street Whitney Necklace: $75. This pastel beauty never made it to the blog. It wasn't for lack of love, just laziness. The light mint color made it the perfect summer piece. It looked fab against white!

Free People Creme de la Creme Dress

I struggled with how to style this dress for a long time. I felt like it could only be worn on super dressy special occasions, but also felt it was too sexy for weddings or just a regular dinner. I wore it to a bachelorette party with heels, but just couldn't find another appropriate occasion. ~~But then I had a brilliant idea~~ I googled the dress and found a stock photo from the Free People website. Booties and denim jacket were the answer! And then I was able to wear this dress to a plain old lunch date!
