Cold Hearted Valentine

Eshakti Valentine Heart Dress (4) Eshakti Valentine Heart Dress (3) Eshakti Valentine Heart Dress (2) Eshakti Valentine Heart Dress (1)

So, if you are thinking that perhaps it was too cold to be outside in New Jersey this weekend without a coat on...you would be correct.  The small number of pictures in this post s due to the fact that it was 17 degrees.  I did not attempt to get in good light or even stand still long enough so that hte photos wouldn't be blurry.  People were throwing around phrases like "polar vortex," which I think indicates that you should only leave the house in a snow suit.

However, I am a devoted blogger and I bought this heart print dress special for my annual Anna Howard Shaw Day celebration with my college friends.  It's an intricate celebration that requires the drinking of mimosas, eating of various cheese covered foods, and cackling at a high volume.

Maybe it was wishful thinking to wear floral peep toe shoes when there's still half a foot of snow and ice on the ground?  Well, everyday is a fashion show for me.  At least I balanced out the absurdity of wearing floral peep toes in the frozen tundra by adding in some faux fur and stockings.  Not only would my toes have frozen off, but my piggies have not seen a pedicure or a bottle of polish since September.

Well, you should start priming your piggies for warmer weather because online designer shoe retailer The Scarpetta is offering you the chance to WIN FREE SHOES FOR A YEAR!  Yes, you read that correctly.  The Scarpetta wants to see how you make your everyday a fashion show by sharing your fabulous looks on Pinterest. And even if you don't win, you should start shopping the hundreds of designer shoes over at The Scarpetta

It's not easy for me to find clothes that fit...I am petite with wide hips.  Retailers are not exactly stocking the shelves with items for me.  But, eShakti has filled a void with their custom sizing.  This is now my fourth item that I've ordered from eShakti (see the others here, here, & here) and I could not be happier.  Every item has fit like a glove...because of their option for custom sizing.  All I had to do to get the perfect fitting dress was take all my measurements and input them into eShakti's website.  Taking the measurements was the hardest part of the ordering process.  Phone a friend to help with the measuring process to insure accuracy.  It's soooo much easier with an extra set of hands and eyes.  Will you be getting yourself a custom dress?

What I Wore Wednesday: Cat Dress (duh)

Watch: Michael Kors (worn) | Bracelet: Groopdealz (similar, worn)

I love my cats and I wear my heart on my sleeve...and dress.  Some might say I have too many cat print items of clothing, I say I have just enough.  I mean, with the addition of this eShakti beauty, I only have 3 cat print dresses (and a cat print shirt).

What I Wore Wednesday: Stripes and Rhinestones

Skirt: c/o eShakti | Tee: Old Navy | Everjade Necklace: Anthropologie | Shoes: Marshall's (worn, similar) |
Ring: Vintage | Bracelets: Groopdealz & Forever 21 (worn, similar here & here)

Yep, that necklace is real...real plastic.  I am pretty sure that even if those shiny honkin' stones were glass I would develop a hump from lugging them around.  Side note: I had to look up that rhinestones are made of glass.  In my world rhinestones are a separate element.  They're on the periodic table right next to barium....also had to look up barium.
