Stuff I Wore: This Bathroom Break Cost Me $20

Top // The Limited (similar here); Liquid Silk Skirt // J. Crew (worn here, similar here);
Leopard T-Straps // Marshall's (worn here, similar here); Necklace // J. Crew Factory (worn here and here, similar here)

It's no secret.  Attorneys bill for their time.  Our firm has a billing program in which you log all of your time spent working on various cases.  It really messes with your head.  You start thinking of daily life activities in terms of money.  I went to the bathroom the other day and got a snack, and all I could think is, "This cost $20!"  I reviewed an employment contract for the Scot a few weeks ago.  I told him I would charge him a flat fee of $100 for my time.  He did not see the humor in this.  But seriously, I am still waiting for my $100.

Stuff I Wore: Copy Cat and a Crazy Dog

I was inspired to create this look when I saw this post at Kendi Everyday.
Shirt (dress) // French Connection, similar here
Belt // Target
Shoes // Target, worn here, similar here
Liquid Silk Skirt // J. Crew, worn here, similar here
Necklace // J. Crew Factory, worn here, similar here
And I was inspired by some websites to look into getting some Prozac for my dog.  Yeah, she's that insane.  The Prozac is supposed to stop the growling at strangers and pacing around the house for an hour if the wind dares to brush a branch against the window.  And if the Prozac doesn't work for the dog, I'm going to get myself a prescription so then I won't care that she's a horrible dog.  So, I'm a copy cat and I have a crazy dog.

Stuff I Wore: Clean Slate

My new camera arrived in the mail a few days ago, a Canon S95.  I am just not ready for a DSLR, but I am going to start perusing used ones on Ebay in the coming months.  So, I am going to overload you with noisy OOTD photos one last time.  I am just going to rip it off like a band aid and show you my remaining outfits in one fell swoop and start the new year off with better photos.  My New Year's resolution (besides volunteering more) is to provide you with better quality photos.  This probably means I'll have to start enlisting the help of The Scot in the mornings to take some outdoor shots.  On second thought, maybe I'll just get a tripod.
This first outfit is composed completely of items I purchased on Black Friday and while Anthro ran their most recent 50% off sale items promotion.  I was really skeptical about the Triad Peasant Blouse, but it's such a great versatile piece.  I thought it looked too short and Little House on the Prairie-esque.  I was very wrong.  I've also worn it out after work with just a pair of jeans.

And here are more Anthro items that I got at the 50% off sale.  The Endless Corduroy Skirt is so darn cute.

This casual outfit is a result of my J. Crew outlet outing with my sister.  My sister and I disagree almost completely on fashion.  She's more khakis and polo shirts and I'm more...well, bright pink and rhinestones.  There is really only one thing we agree on, and that is J. Crew.  When we walked into the outlet, my sister said, "I feel like I'm home."

I apparently don't make my bed on Sundays...don't tell my mom.

And I organized this last outfit around my Secret Santa gift from work.  Somehow my secretay knew I would love a sparkly leopard print scarf!

Stuff I Wore: A Gift to Myself (Liquid Silk Skirt)

So, I told you I got everything I wanted for Christmas, right?  Here's my list.  And now that I look back, I didn't get the Tiered Stripes Dress from Anthro...but I can not complain!  Well, here's one of my presents (to myself).  Right before Christmas, J. Crew offered an additional percentage off of sale items.  So, I got the Liquid Silk Skirt for a steal!  ($60 I think).  And then I immediately wore it.

Liquid Silk Skirt // J. Crew
Gray Cardigan // Gap (similar)
Short Sleeve Buttondown // Banana Republic (similar)
Oxfords // Candies // Kohl's (similar)

I highly recommend this skirt.  I've been talking about it for months, but I never got to try it on until I got it in the mail.  It's even better than I imagined.  The name is not deceiving.  It is so flowy and (dare I say it?) it feels like you are floating on liquid silk.  The blue was only available in a 6 and I was worried the waist would be too small, so I bought the skirt in pink in the size 8.  And now I am keeping both of them!  Haha.
