Birthday Wishlist

I'll be honest, this post is not for my reader(s).** This post is for my husband. Since starting this blog, I have not gotten a bad gift from him. I may not have made a full-time job out of my blog; but at least I have not had to fake like a gift in years.

**I am assuming that due to my periodic absences there are like 3 people left reading this. Thanks to those of you that are still here. Also, it took my 4 times to spell "absences" correctly. I am really losing my touch.

I know I've talked a lot about LulaRoe here on the blog over the past few weeks. But, here I go again. My newest favorite piece is the Sarah cardigan. One of the things I love about LulaRoe is that you can mix the budget friendly pieces with more expensive pieces. This Sarah cardigan paired with my $300 Ted Baker dress quite nicely. Except, I got this dress off the clearance rack at Nordstrom Rack for $100. So, this outfit is just all budget-friendly pieces. Forget everything I have just typed.

Let's move on to the tights. It's that time of year when I have to roll out my massive collection of tights and can finally throw away my razors. Berkshire was nice enough to offer me tights to add to my collection. Berkshire's collection is made to fit all shapes and sizes. They also offer a wide range of control top tights, which are (dare I say it) comfier than the Spanx brand. And I can attest that I wore these all day and didn't get any form of a wedgey. After looking at my July purchases, I realized I spent quite a bit of time inside malls this summer. In fairness, most of my mall shopping happened on a short trip to Las Vegas in July...where it is too hot to be outside for more than a few minutes. So, to me, the mall(s) seemed to be the perfect place to cool off. Also, in Vegas it appears to be perfectly acceptable to carry a drink around the mall with you, which may have led to most of my Vegas purchasing.

Ted Baker Jeweled Dress

This past weekend I slid my dancing shoes on to my feet, crammed my mid-section into a pair of spanx, and clipped a pile of fake hair to my head. I would have also glued a bunch of fake eyelashes to my face, but I ran out of glue. As I recount all of the torture devices I required just for a night out, I am reminded as to why I often spend Saturday night on the couch (and how ridiculous my going out preparations really are). Side note...the hair extensions aren't actually torturous to wear. It's just an odd feeling to double the amount of hair on your head. It often feels like a cat is sneaking up on you.

Stripes, Floral, and Discount Ted Baker

It's no secret that I love pretty much everything Ted Baker, but it's probably also pretty obvious that I don't like the prices. Therefore, I am a frequent visitor of the Bloomingdale's clearance rack and a one-time visitor of the Ted Baker Outlet. The Ted Baker Outlet is in Las Vegas, which explains my infrequent (singular) visit. I did come away from a recent trip with this gorgeous skirt. Every season I love the full skirts that Ted Baker comes out with. And I was happy to only pay $100 for this one. Yes, $100 is still a lot of money for one skirt...one skirt that I can't wear to work and need a fancy party to attend to even let it out of my closet. But, it's just so darn pretty!
